I should have read the negative comments before buying this. There is a major flaw.
Who are those people giving this more than 1 star.
Bought Orient Electric 12W Rechargeable Emergency Bulb expecting backup during power cuts. What I got instead is a bulb that NEVER switches off.
As soon as I received and tested it, the bulb stays ON 24×7. Switch off the wall button? Still on. Remove it from the holder? Still glowing like it’s possessed. I can’t sleep, can’t save battery, can’t use it for its actual purpose.
What’s the point of calling it an “emergency bulb” if it creates an emergency in my electricity bill and my mental peace? The whole concept of “rechargeable” is useless when it refuses to turn off and drains itself dead.
All my money = Wasted. Purpose = Destroyed. Quality check = Zero.
Orient, this is not a bulb, it’s a nightlight from hell that I didn’t ask for. No option to Return.
Don’t buy unless you want some of your room to lit up like a Diwali mela every single night.
